Talent for streamlined timeless designs

John Bollen is a graduate of the Royal College of Art in London. His Tutor table was presented as part of the “Forty Chairs in Four Feet” Cologne exhibition in 2004 to commemorate the classic 40/4 chair. It has since emerged as the perfect table to match. An admirable achievement in identical angles, proportions, materials and stackability. And a design which is seen in global venues, such as ESSEC Business School in France, Zeppelin University in Germany and Lufthansa in Germany.

Over his extensive career, Bollen has gained a profound understanding of engineering, construction and production. His mechanical mindset, obsession with perfection and fascination with minimalistic, multi-functional furniture permeates his professional life. Bollen’s relentless drive and talent for streamlined, timeless designs with space-saving solutions has earned him a reputation for being one of the most innovative furniture designers of the 21st century.

When he’s not busy creating the next award-winning design, Bollen is enjoying his vast collection of blues music – probably the largets collection in the United Kingdom.
